The Department of Admission at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University (CSB/SJU) invite applications for the position of Admission Representative to begin July, 2008. The Admission Representative is a vital team member responsible for contributing to the overall recruitment efforts of the College and University in planning and implementing procedures and programs for attracting and matriculating students. The incumbent will accomplish this by presenting information about CSB/SJU and corresponding to groups of students, parents, educators, and alumni; will work independently to achieve short and long-term recruitment goals within a territory; review, prepare and route completed applicant files to the admissions committee for review; and conduct extensive telemarketing within assigned recruitment territory. Bachelor’s degree is required. Must have the ability to articulate the values and objectives of a liberal arts institution; well developed public speaking and writing skills; strong organizational skills; a commitment to private liberal arts and science education; previous experience in selective college admission, college counseling, or in related areas of higher education is highly desirable. The successful incumbent will be able to work effectively within a team environment and be able to demonstrate a commitment to recruiting a diverse student population. This position requires the ability to travel, evening and weekend hours and hold a valid driver’s license.
