Licensed Practical Nurse

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Saint John's Abbey invites applications for a part time position and a temporary/on-call position of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).  Hours for the part time position are between 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. and additional hours as needed.  This will include every other weekend.  The temporary/on call position will fill in as needed.  The LPN performs a variety of professional nursing and direct care duties in the care of Abbey members and residents at the assisted living and skilled level of care, complies with state and federal rules, and regulations as it applies to LPN license. 

Qualifications:  Graduate of an accredited school of nursing for Licensed Practical Nurse is required.  One to two years long-term care experience is preferred.  Must be currently licensed as a LPN with the State of MN and maintain licensure.  The successful incumbent will be able to demonstrate leadership, good judgment, dependability and knowledge required at this skill level.  As a condition of employment, a successful completion of a physical examination and criminal background check is required for this position.
