I wanted to participate in the Honors Program because I like a challenge and I believe that the courses in the honors program will challenge me more so than non-honors courses. I work better if I am challenged and I believe that I will be more challenged in honors classes, since the students in the classes have high levels of motivation and participation in the classes.
The Honors Program gives access to classes not available to the student body, it helps build a community Honors students, and completing the Honors Program will give a distinction on your diploma.
College is about challenging yourself, and participation in the honors program will challenge you more than non-honors course. The Honors Program will allow you to grow not only in the subject area but in study habits and perseverance.
Currently, I intend to use my political science degree as a springboard for applying to law school to receive my JD and concentrate in criminal law.

I’m involved in the McCarthy Center Mentor Program and I volunteer at the McCarthy Center, additionally, I am in Mock Trial, Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, Brass Choir, Up ’til Dawn, and I work at academic services and Target.
The discussion is a lot more stimulating than normal classes. Many of the responses given have more in-depth answers, and people are more willing to participate.
The Honors Program has allowed me to meet new dedicated people and enrich myself in more challenging courses.
