BORDER AWARENESS EXPERIENCE on the El Paso/Juarez border!
January 3-9, 2008

This trip includes opportunities such as:
*learning  about the unique economic, political and environmental challenges facing individuals in Juarez
*meeting with Border Control Agents
*sleeping under the desert moonlight with the mountains in the background
* participating in grassroots development projects for women
*sharing a traditional Mexican meal
*homestays in Juarez
*roundtable discussions with local non-profit organizations such as the Annunciation House in El Paso
*visiting the Border Network for Human Rights
*learning about femicide and immigration

The Border trip is an exciting opportunity to explore issues such as: Militarization, Economic Justice, Immigration, Human Rights, Environment, and examine the different responses taken by grassroots organizations.
