A Night to Fight Cancer

When is it?

January 31, 2009 from 6 – 10 p.m. in the HCC Field house

 How can YOU get involved?!?

Grab a friend or 20 (there’s no set requirement for the number of people on your team) and register!  We encourage you to register TODAY but the deadline goes until December 15th, 2008.  Last year, about 150 people participated in Night to Fight Cancer, and we’re hoping to have even more student participation this year!  Each team raises money starting NOW until the Night to Fight Cancer event, and the money raised will be given as a donation to an individual affiliated with the CSB/SJU community going through cancer treatment.  There will be more information SOON regarding how and where teams should drop off money to be included in the donation.  Right now, feel free to donate by putting money in the donation boxes available in O’Connell’s, McGlynn’s, and Sexton.

What is Night to Fight Cancer about?

It is a one night event (January 31st, 2009) that the Health Advocates have been organizing for the past 10+ years!  Night to Fight Cancer celebrates both the team members who contributed their time and efforts to raise money and the lives of cancer survivors and those who have passed.  Team members take turns walking laps around the track in the HCC Field house during the entire event.  There will be antioxidant-rich foods, beverages, a fun tournament for team members to participate in, cancer ribbons available, and prizes!  Click HERE to see more about Night to Fight Cancer 2008!
