Why did you choose to study abroad and how did you decide on this program?

I chose to study abroad in Chile to have the opportunity to learn about and experience a new culture.

Briefly describe a specific cultural experience you had on your trip that made a lasting impression.

Living with my incredible host family was a cultural experience that made the greatest lasting impression on me. Living with a Spanish speaking family in a Chile gave me the opportunity to have the full Chilean cultural experience.

Describe your overall study abroad experience.

It was the experience of a lifetime. The adventures, family, friends, and location made this one of the best experiences of my life.

Based on your experiences abroad, what are some of the benefits of spending a semester abroad? How has studying abroad contributed to your personal, academic, and professional development?

Studying abroad gives you the independence to really become a responsible person. It gave me the opportunity to figure out how to balance my academics, spending time with my family and friends, and traveling.

What advice can you offer for CSB/SJU students who are considering or planning to study abroad?

I 100% recommend to everyone to study abroad at some point. Even if its just for a short amount of time, everyone should be able to have this experience.
