Kate Kelly is President and CEO of Minnesota Bank & Trust, a bank started in April 2008 with Heartland Financial USA and several local investors.  Minnesota Bank & Trust is the last bank to receive its banking and trust Charter in Minnesota and was noted by the Business Journal as the "Least Risky Bank in Minnesota" based on its strong capital ratios.  Ms. Kelly previously was a Region President for Bremer Bank and held various leadership positions over 18 years with U.S. Bank.

 She received her MBA in Finance from the Carlson School of Management and her BA in Humanities and Economics from St. Catherine University.  As board chair for both ServeMinnesota Education Foundation and ServeMinnesota, she is eager to advance the efforts of the Minnesota Reading Corps, its early literacy program.

Originally from St. Cloud, Minnesota, Ms. Kelly has two daughters. Her oldest daughter graduated from Benilde-St. Margaret in 2010 and is a Sophomore at University of Wisconsin-Madison, and her younger daughter is a Sophomore at Benilde-St. Margaret.
