"The medium of clay responds and records each and every touch. Whether it is a touch of the maker’s hand or a touch from the river of flame during the firing, there is evidence of it all on the clay."
"I strive to create forms that are full of life and communicate a sense of wholeness. The universal powers of earth, air, fire and water, and shapes from nature are source of inspirations for the forms I make and the decorations I use."
"It could be a straight line or curve of a horizon, the positive and negative spaces created by a tree in winter, the intersection of water and the beach, or the repeating patterns found on a leaf or bird feather, the patterns of clouds in the sky or a collection of water worn stones from a stream."
"By assembling these images and combining them with impressions from years of experience in Europe, Africa and America, I try and convey a non-verbal message of a feeling of “completeness” to the viewer and especially the user of my work."
"The vortex of my work is a culmination of my experiences and relationships with nature and humankind."

"During the last few years I have begun to use a translucent porcelain body and discovered an added dimension of light to my work. I am particularly fascinated with the subtle color changes that occur in the porcelain during the wood fire that only become apparent with the introduction of a light source. By making simple forms and using simple glazing techniques, I feel the color qualities of the final work becomes more of a focus."
