Areca Roe: Vivarium

Areca Roe's photography explores the relationship between humans and animals and how this complicated association reveals itself in our culture and history.

Areca Roe (About the Artist)

Areca Roe's work explores the relationship between humans and animals, and how this complicated association reveals itself in our culture and history. Animals represent a multitude of different, conflicting meanings to us, whether we're eating them, housing them as companions, adorning their fur, or restraining and enclosing wild animals. Her work considers these various intersections
