SJU Arboretum

Vision: Saint John's Arboretum celebrates and preserves the unique beauty and richness of God's creation in Central Minnesota and fosters the Benedictine tradition of land stewardship, education, and environmental respect.

Common Ground Community Garden

Common Ground Garden was founded in 1995 by S. Phyllis Plantenberg OSB. The garden was initially funded by the Sisters of Saint Benedict and a grant from the Central Minnesota Initiative Fund.

Environmental Stewardship at CSB/SJU

Environmental stewardship--the preservation, care and sustainable use of natural resources--is a hallmark of these Benedictine communities. This tradition continues today through a number of environmental initiatives on the two campuses.
