Anna Marie's - A battered women’s shelter where students interact with women going through a very difficult time and minister to the children of these women. An opportunity for students to learn about domestic violence.
Place of Hope - At this faith-based, homeless drop-in shelter, students witness first hand the concept of “hope for the future” for people in transition through support groups, daily living tasks and companionship.
St. Cloud Hospital - Students spend 10 hours volunteering in one of 51 Departments. This is followed by group projects in communication, leadership, and retention in the Volunteer Program. Past projects include: distributing a volunteer satisfaction survey, designing department specific orientations, and designing training for the new volunteer kiosk.
Boys and Girls Club - A place providing an environment for boys and girls to call their own. Students engage in recreational activities with the kids, tutor them, and establish friendships. An opportunity for students to build leadership and communication skills.
