Searching for an Internship

  • Talk with your professors, faculty advisor, Internship and Career Services staff, employers, friends and family members about your interests and career goals.
  • Networking can be one of the most useful tools during your search.

Caution:

  • Students should be aware of fraudulent internships and scams that can be posted to internship databases (which can sometimes include on-campus resources like E-Link).  Posting on this site does not indicate an endorsement of an employer by the College of Saint Benedict/Saint John's University.
  • The institutions do not assume responsibility for inaccurate or misleading information.
  • Note that you should NEVER pay money as part of an application or testing process. Beware of any position that asks you to provide bank account or credit card information, pay money to apply, or involves receiving and sending checks or money. These are possibly scams and should be reported to the site administrator.

Internship Discovery Tools

Use the tools below to help you assess your long-term career and life goals/values as well as your true interest areas.

Websites to Help with your Search

Below you will see links to E-link, Going Global, and many other sites to aid you in your search!

E-link is an online database that CSB/SJU students can use to search for opportunities such as internships, jobs, fellowships and undergraduate research. There is now also an app that was released called Careers by Simplicity, the logo for the app is located diretly under the E-Link icon. The app is organized and works almost exactly like the website. If you're having trouble accessing your E-Link account, please contact internsw@csbsju.edu.

Going Global provides information about world-wide job and internship opportunities. International students can also use this tool to find a list of companies in the United States who've previously sponsored H-1B Visas (and who might also be likely to sponsor a job or internship).
