CSB Support Staff Committee Meeting

Present: Al Rassier, Jeanne Terres, Jackie Gertken, Joan Ellering, Tina Kortenbusch, Joyce Honer, Mary Niedenfuer, Terri Johnson, Trish Doran and Bev Overman

Minutes:  There were no minutes to vote on.

Joints Benefit Committee:  No Report

Professional Development Committee: Two applications for Professional Development were received since the last meeting.  (for a total of three this year).  One application was accepted and one denied.  There is a new policy for reviewing applications.   There should be an e-mail sent out to employees with the name of the committee members (Terri Johnson, Judy Eggert and Mary Jo Waggoner) and there should be a link to the new policy on our website.  Tina will develop a packet of materials to send to new employees informing them about policy information.

Support Staff Committee Changes:  Trish Doran will replace Mary Niedenfuer, and will take minutes and maintain the website.  Rhonda Mielke will replace Joyce Honer.  Tonya does not have a replacement yet. 

Anniversary Gifts:  The staff has been very happy to receive the meal certificates.   If we give these certificates in the future, we should also give employees a certificate that they can keep.

Craft Sale-Nov. 16:  There are currently 17 vendors signed up, 3 are new.  Jackie will continue to recruit vendors for 2 more weeks and then consider advertising in the Times.  It might be possible to get a list of vendors who have previously come to campus by contacting Events and Scheduling. 

Terry Bernardy has agreed to donate a box of cookies, although it may be advisable to see if he can donate two boxes.  Gary will donate frosting, and our committee will spend $20-$30 to purchase sprinkles.  Al will contact Norma to see if the Professional Staff Committee will donate drinks.  Jeanne is in charge of entertainment.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:15 pm.
