There was discussion on finding more vendors as well as on entertainment for shoppers. Suggestions included contacting students, local schools (Prep or Lab School) and the music department. There was a question of liability in inviting the public to shop. Bev will check this out.

Details were discussed regarding the Support Staff Committee's cookie decorating table and the Administrative Staff Committee's refreshment table. There were questions about how to go about soliciting donations of baked goods from Cold Spring Bakery and/or Cash Wise to follow protocol for bringing food onto campus.

Al has looked into costume costs and costs for pictures. It was agreed to try to keep pics to $1.

Joint Benefits Committee meeting

Judy Eggert recapped the JBC meeting and reported that they will have benefit numbers by mid-November. The Committee is looking specifically at the possibility of a wellness program using nursing students, web-based health assessment, and at paid time off. They are also revisiting the tuition consortium which is considered too costly.

Meet with Staff

Terri Johnson suggested that the support staff committee reps meet with our groups to improve dialogue and share ideas. It was agreed that it's a good idea if we can, but at the very least to keep in touch by email.

Professional Development Committee

Terri met with the committee and discussed promoting PD funds. There was a discussion on workshops/events for which to use funds, as well as cataloguing or acquiring info on them. It was agreed that better PR is needed.
