2007: Played in 107 games and all 32 matches for Saint Benedict … voted CSB Top Offensive Player … selected to share the CSB Most Improved Player award … MIAC playoffs All-Tournament team … Battle of the Borders All-Tournament team … MIAC Hitter of the Week (Oct. 23, 2007) … CSB Athlete of the Week (Oct. 29, 2007) … hit for 304 kills and averaged 2.84 kills per game (2nd for CSB) … recorded double-figure kills in 14 matches … hit for at least 20 kills on two occasions … accumulated 103 blocks, averaging 0.96 blocks per game (2nd for CSB) … finished 17 matches with three or more blocks … six times, totaled six or more blocks … recorded 33 service aces (3rd for CSB) … served for two or more aces in 11 matches … finished the season with a .186 hitting percentage (5th for CSB) … recorded at least a .333 hitting percentage in six matches … compiled 114 digs and averaged 1.07 digs per game … on Oct. 17, 2007, Heggernes recorded season-highs of 25 kills and 10 blocks against Carleton College … on Nov. 1, 2007, she hit for 20 kills and added four blocks against Concordia-Moorhead.

High School:
A 2007 graduate of Mora High School, Heggernes was coached by Lisa Reinke … participated in volleyball (six years) and track and field (two years) during her athletic career at Mora High School … was a three-time letter winner in volleyball … was a two-time All0Rum River Conference volleyball team selection … led her team in kills for two seasons … was a two-time team MVP … captained her volleyball team … helped her team to two Rum River Conference volleyball championships … also was a two-time letter winner in track and field.

Personal:
Daughter of Norma and Joseph Heggernes of Mora, Minn. … enjoys rollerblading, lifting weights, reading and watching movies … majoring in the pre-physician’s assistance program with a minor in nursing.

Proudest moment of her volleyball career:
“My proudest moment has been my realization that hard work and practice pay off. I have set a lot of goals for myself, and have reached many of them.”

Why did you decide to attend the College of Saint Benedict?
“I liked the college atmosphere and the medical programs that are offered.”
