1990 Season Review

If it's possible the 1990 Blazer volleyball team (31-4 overall, 14-1 MIAC) was even better than the any other volleyball team at CSB.  Saint Ben's won their third MIAC title in four years and captured the NCAA Division III Central Region Championship, and earned their first appearance in the National Championships.  The Blazers were beaten in the semi-finals to eventual National Champion UC-San Diego before bouncing back to win the third place match.

Sixth year coach Carol Howe-Veenstra was named Central Region Coach of the Year for the second time.

Amy Hagen becomes the first CSB athlete to be named All-American three straight years.  Hagen also earned All-MIAC and MIAC Player of the Year honors.

Chris Muehlbauer earns All-American, Academic All-American and All-MIAC honors.  Lynn Gustafson is named All-American.  Mary Fehringer receives All-MIAC honors.
