High School: A 2006 graduate of Maple Grove high school, Norman was coached by Ken Friend...participated in track and field for four years, diving for three years and gymnastics for two years during her athletic career at Maple Grove...in gymnastics was voted hardest worker and rookie of the year, was captain of her diving team, and was voted MVP of her track and field team two times...Also qualified for the 2005 state track meet and placed first at True Team sections.
Personal: Daughter of Denise and Lee Norman of Maple Grove, Minn...her proudest moment of her track and field career is jumping her personal best with a jump of 10'6'' in the pole vault competition...enjoys camping, snowmobiling, beading/crafts, running, workingout, nutrition, baking, reading and Spanish...majoring in Dietetics with a minor in Spanish.
What do you like about being a collegiate student athlete? "What I like most about being a collegiate student athlete is that you know everyday at 4:15 you get to be with people who are going to make you laugh and motivate you to be your best."
