1999 Season Review

In the indoor MIAC meet, the Blazers scored 80.5 points among a field of 12 teams and finished in fifth place overall.  Seven school records were re-written during the indoor campaign, while six athletes earned All-MIAC honors.  Four athletes were recognized as honorable-mention All-MIAC.  Senior Rhonda Swanson was the conference champion in the pole vault, and first year jumper Bridget Schletty was the the best in the conference high jump.

At the outdoor championships, Swanson was crowned conference champion in the pole vault, and junior BriAnne Erpelding won the triple jump.   Four All-MIAC recipients and four school records highlighted the two-day event.   CSB equaled their best all-around team finish in the conference when they edged Carleton and St. Thomas for fourth place with 82 points.  Six points separated fourth , fifth and sixth place in the conference race.  SJU, and the Blazers hosted their first ever MIAC outdoor conference meet.
