5th at Cobber Twillight

The Blazers track and field team took at 5th place finish at the Cobber Twillight this week by finishing with a total of 47.5 team points. A few first place finishes for the Blazers helped them run to a 5th place finish.
Sophomore,Margot Branigan (Roseville, Minn./Roseville) took a first place finish in the 1,000m with a time of 39.02.97, while Ashley Irons (Twin Falls, ID/Twin Falls) also finished in first place in the 800m with a time of 2:21:15. In the 1,500m, senior Kaylee Rasmussen (Waconia, Minn./Waconia) took a 2nd place finish with a time of 4:50.14.
First-year, Abby Neigebauer (Waseca, Minn./Waseca) took 9th place in the 100m with a time of 13.21. With a time of 27.58, Laura Deal (Lake Crystal, Minn./Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial) took 13th place and Patty King (St. Paul, Minn./Cretin-Durham Hall) took a 15th place finish, while also taking a 4th place finish in the 400m.
In the Pole vault, Rebecca Mueller (Brainerd, Minn./Brainerd) took a 12th place finish with a jump of 8-6m.
The Blazers continue action on the track Saturday, April 19th in Northfield, Minn.
