Good Run for Blazer Track

The College of Saint Benedict women's track team took a ninth place finish at the Wartburg Select this weekend. Many Blazers finished in decent places helping the Blazers to their ninth place finish.
First-year Jillian Daleidan (Blaine, Minn./Blaine) placed in the top ten in the 400 meter dash by taking an eighth place finish with a time of 59.95 seconds. Junior Patty King (St. Paul, Minn./Cretin-Durham Hall) took 16th place with a time of 1:02.51 seconds Senior Kaylee Rasmussen (Waconia, Minn/Waconia) finished the 800 meter with a time of 2:19.99 giving her a seventh place finish, Sixteenth place went to first- year Molly Noel (Eagen, Minn./Cretin-Durham Hall) and sophomore Alyx Chapman (Stillwater, Minn/Stillwater) finished in 18th place.
Sophomore Margot Brainigan (Roseville, Minn./Roseville) finished the 5,000 meter taking fourth place with a time of 18:28.75. First-year Ashley Irons (Twin Falls, ID./Twin Falls) also took a fourth place finish in the 3,000 meter Steeple Chase. The Blazer's 4x400 meter relay took sixth place. The relay consisted of Chapman, Rasmussen, Irons and Daleidan. 
Junior Serina Aubrecht (Shorewood, Minn./Minnetonka) took thirteenth place in the pole vault competition with a jump of 2.90m. Fellow pole vaulters, sophomore Jessica Norman (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove) took 17th place with a jump of 2.60m and first-year Jana Gracyzk (Lake Elmo, Minn./Stillwater Area) also tied for 17th place. Sophomore Ali Galzki (Maple Grove, Minn./Wayzata) took 5th place in the long jump with a jump of 5.03m.
Melissa Hendrickx (Brookings, SD/Estelline) took an 18th place in the Discus throw and Melinda Dugas (Coon Rapids, Minn./Coon Rapids) took 11th place in the Javelin.
The Blazers continue action on the track April 12th when they dead to St.Peter, Minn for the Lee Krough Invite.
