Blazer Track and Field Stay Hot

The Blazers ran to a 2nd place finish at their home track finishing with 165 team points. The Blazers again showed strength in their distance events, as well as sprint and jumping.
First-year Abby Neigebauer (Waseca, Minn./ Waseca H.S.) finished in first place in the 55 meter with a time of 7.55 and also got second in the 200 meter dash. Sophomore Margot Branigan (Roseville, Minn. / Roseville) recorded a first place finish in the 1000 meter and seniorKristin Haubrich (Shakopee, Minn. / Shakopee H.S.) also took a first place finish once again in the 3000 meter run. Senior Laura Murphy (Blaine Minn./ Blaine H.S.) took a second place finish in the 5000 meter run with a time of 20:15:27.
Ali Galzki (Maple Grove, Minn./Wayzata H.S.) showed off her skills in the long jump by finishing in second place with a jump of 16-10 3/4.
The Blazers hope to continue their hot streak Feb 29 when they head to St. Olaf college.
