Success is sometimes achieved in small steps, as is the case with the Blazer tennis program. For the first time in several years CSB was recognized regionally. The Blazers received an invitation to the Midwest Regional Tennis Tournament in Madison, Wis., in mid-April. It was the first invitation that the Blazers have received under the direction of head coach Jack Bowe. The top 16 teams in the West Region were the only teams invited to compete. With a fifth place finish at the MIAC Championships this season head coach Jack Bowe believes the program is beginning to show signs of growth. This year’s squad was made up of six first or second year players.

A look at the roster indicates only one senior will be graduating from the tennis program this spring, which gives Bowe every reason to be encouraged about the direction of the team.
