The College of Saint Benedict fell 7-2 to rival St. Thomas Sunday, evening the Blazers conference record to 2-2. CSB is 4-2 overall.
The Blazers were strong at the top of their lineup, winning the number one singles and doubles matches. Seniors Megan Wrobel (Willmar, Minn./Willmar) and Mellisa Kampa (St. Cloud, Minn./Apollo) fought to a 8-6 win.
“Megan and Melissa had a huge win at number one doubles” said head coach Scott Larsen. “The match lasted about 90 minutes, it was really a battle.”
Wrobel picked up the lone singles win, a dominating 6-3, 6-2 win.
CSB will return to action next week for four matches at Hilton Head, Fl. for their spring training trip.
