Heidi Goillet

Sophomore … Freestyle … Coon Rapids, Minn. (Coon Rapids)

2007-2008: Heidi, a two sport athlete in both swimming and track, had some amazing performances last season.  She dove at the Concordia meet when needed to score points!  She will continue to improve in the shorter sprint events and would like to improve in the backstroke events as well.

2006-2007:  Heidi comes to the Blazers from the Great Wolf Swim Club with a history of doing well in sprint freestyle events.   Her unique and infectious sense of humor are a welcome motivation to others in and out of training and competition situations.  She is highly motivated to excel so she is a perfect fit for the Blazers Swimming and Diving Team.

High School: A 2006 graduate of Coon Rapids High School, Golliet was coached by Sarah Valley … participated in swimming (two years), diving (four years), track and field (three years) and weight training (two years) during her athletic career at Coon Rapids High School … two-time letter winner in swimming … All-Northwest Suburban swimming team and All-Section 7AA swimming team selection in 2005 … set 200 yard freestyle record in 2005 … True Team Section 7AA Champion in the 50 yard freestyle.

Personal: Daughter of Bonnie Randall and Daniel Golliet of Coon Rapids, Minn. … enjoys teaching swimming lessons, running, soccer, softball, scrap booking, visiting with family and shopping … proudest moment of her swimming career was setting a personal best time in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 25.22 … majoring in elementary education with a minor in English.

What do you like about being a collegiate student-athlete? “I love the opportunity to compete at the highest level and improve on what I have already learned and achieved.”
