
2007-2008: Brianne trained hard over the summer for her club coach Richard Smith. Not satisfied with her performances last year, she begins this season with a focus to improve herself in all events.
2006-2007: Brianne comes from a team rich in excellence. Her infectious enthusiasm for competition makes her a wonderful addition to the team, even though she tells really bad jokes. Although she is a bit daunted by our cold weather, we expect great performances from her. Her adaptablity to our team makes her a valuable Blazer.
High School: A 2006 graduate Buena High School, Boardman was coached by Sean O’Malley and Rich Smith (Mr. Mumbles) … participated in swimming (four years) and tennis (two years) during her athletic career at Buena High School … captained the swimming team her senior year … Member of the Buena swimming team that collected two third place finishes and two second place finishes at the regional competition.
Personal: Daughter of Carolyn and Michael Boardman of Sierra Vista, Ariz. … enjoys playing the flute, piano, organ, root beer floats, going to church and traveling … proudest moment of her swimming career was gaining a better understanding of being a teammate and leader during high school … member of Joint Events Council at CSB/SJU … involved with the Alpha Kappa Sigma Service Sorority … majoring in communication with minors in music and psychology.
What do you like about being a collegiate student-athlete? “Being a collegiate student-athlete is amazing! It not only gets me in shape with other amazing people, but it helps with balancing school and social activities."
