Katie Merkley

First-year ... Freestyle ... Eagan, Minn. (Eastview)

2007-2008: Katie should be a perfect fit for the Blazer sprinting crew. She brings a work ethic and talent to the team from Eastview that should place her well in MIAC and other meets throughout the season.

High School: A 2007 graduate of Eastview High School Merkley was coached by Mark Tollefson … participated in swimming (four years) … three time sectional qualifier.

Personal: Daughter of Cindy and Scoot Merkley of Eagan … enjoys swimming and dancing … majoring in biology.

What do you like about being a collegiate student-athlete? “Being a student athlete has allowed me the opportunity of continue swimming and improving my times. I also have met some great people.”
