Hannah Balder

First-year ... Breaststroke/Middle Distance ... Stillwater, Minn. (Stillwater)

2007-2008: Hannah comes from one of the premier programs in Minnesota, so she brings that work ethic and talent with her each and every day.  While originally planning to focus on breaststroke events, she has shown her expertise in backstroke and IM events as well.  The Blazers are lucky to have an athlete with such diverse talent on our team.

High School: A 2007 graduate of Stillwater High School Balder was coached by Brian Luke … participated in swimming and diving (four years) … letter winner … team captain … member of  three time true state championship team …two time state championship team.

Personal: daughter of Mary and Time Balder of Stillwater … enjoys choir, singing, hanging out with friends, reading and musicals … father is an SJU graduate … major in undecided.

What do you like about being a collegiate student-athlete? “Meeting new people with similar extra-curricular interests, staying healthy, managing time wisely.”
