1992-93 Review

Given a choice, head swimming and diving coach Mike Ritchie would enjoy having a larger team, but he certainly could not complain about the quality of his 1992-93 squad.  There may be "strength in numbers," but "size can be over-rated" as well.  The Blazers finished the season with 10 swimmers, one diver, a 3-5 overall dual meet record, 3-4 mark in the MIAC.

Despite a seventh place in the MIAC swimming and Diving Championships at SJU this winter, the team had 17 personal best performances.

Senior Kris Ludwick, Bismarck, ND, had two personal bests in the one and three meter diving competition.  Ludwick finished 10th in the one-meter and eighth in the three-meter events.  Sophomore Deb Doom, St. Cloud, MN, finished with a personal best in the 400 individual medley and the 200 breaststroke while sophomore Dawn Loeb, Cloquet, MN, achieved personal best times in the 50 freestyle and the 100 butterfly.
