The College of Saint Benedict swimming and diving team fell to MIAC powerhouse Carleton College 822-680 in a dual meet on Saturday. The Blazers claimed four event wins to tally 80 team points.
Junior Alison Pagliaccetti (Virginia, Minn./Virginia) grabbed first in the 50 yard freestyle. Juniors Kelly Matzen (Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie), Brooke Johnson (St. Cloud, Minn./Tech) and Becca Schleicher (Avon, Minn./Albany) were joined by Pagliaccetti to win the 200 freestyle relay.
Junior diver Steph Johnson (Chaska, Minn./Chaska) gained 32 team points for the Blazers by sweeping the one and three meter diving events.
The Blazers will return to the pool Friday, Jan. 25 and Saturday, Jan. 26 for the CSB/SJU Invitational at Saint John’s.
