Recruiting Information
- Approximately 20 players make varsity roster. No junior varsity.
- The team plays approximately 36 games including 22 MIAC contests.
- The team travels to Florida nearly every spring.
- The years not traveling, they will play in two tournaments.
- The MIAC allows for seven practice dates in the fall.
- Team practices begin on Feb. 1.
- Games in Minnesota begin around April 1 and end the first weekend in May.
- A committee chooses the teams for the NCAA tournament with Regionals usually the second weekend in May and the National Championships the following weekend.
- Indoor practice is held at Clemens Field House.
- Outdoor practices are from 4-6 p.m.
- CSB has its own on-campus softball field.
- Off-season workouts are available but not required.
- You may participate in more than one intercollegiate sport at CSB.
- Most CSB athletes graduate in 4 years.

- 1993 -- only NCAA Division III team to defeat national champions

- Led NCAA Division III in team ERA in 1992 with 0.75 > Second highest team GPA for Division III in 1996
- Seventh highest team GPA for Division III in 1997
- Best winning percentage in MIAC for last 10 years
