Sophomore ... Infielder ... Maple Grove, Minn. (Maple Grove)

2008: Returning shortstop … expected to have another solid year defensively … has improved her offensive contributions to the team … has a cannon of an arm at the shortstop position.
2007: Made major strides as a shortstop for the Blazers … Started at shortstop for all 34 games Saint Benedict played … collected 22 hits, four stolen bases and 13 walks … scored 16 runs and recorded 17 RBI’s.
High School: A 2006 graduate of Maple Grove High School, Eveland was coached by Jim Koltes … participated in softball (four years) and gymnastics (four years) during her athletic career at Maple Grove High School … three-time All-Northwest Suburban Conference softball team selection (2004, 2005, 2006) … All-Section 4AAA softball team selection in 2006 … captained her softball team her senior year … named to the 2006 State All-Star Softball team … four-time All-Northwest Suburban Conference selection in gymnastics … captained her gymnastics team her junior and senior years … received All-State honors in gymnastics in 2005 and 2006 … member of the 2006 Maple Grove softball team that had the winningest record in school history and finished the year as State Runner up in 3A 
Personal: Daughter of Dianne and Gary Eveland of Maple Grove, Minn. … enjoys playing sports, visiting her cabin, listening to country music and spending time with family and friends … majoring in management. 
Proudest moment of her softball career: “Playing in the State 3A championship game and coming in second place my senior year of high school.”
What do you like about being a collegiate student-athlete? “I like being a student-athlete because it allows me to continue playing a sport I love at a competitive level.”
