High School: A 2007 graduate of Grand Rapids High School, Hancock was coached by Lee Alto … participated in basketball (three years) and softball (five years) during her athletic career at Grand Rapids High School … named to the All-Section 7-3A softball team and team captain her senior year … member of Grand Rapid’s summer softball team that were state champions and national qualifiers (3rd place finish) in 2007 … Member of the Grand Rapids summer softball team that were national qualifiers in 2006.
Personal: Daughter of Pauline and Garry Hancock of Grand Rapids, Minn. … enjoys sports, music, photography and watching movies … majoring in communication with a minor in management.
Proudest moment of her softball career: “Winning the State Championship with my summer softball team after coming out of the loser’s bracket.”
What do you like about being a collegiate student-athlete? “Being a student-athlete is a great way to meet people. It’s so much fun to do something you love so much with so many great people.”
