High School: A 2007 graduate of St. Mary’s High School, Richardson was coached by Melanie Fisher … participated in basketball (four years), volleyball (four years), track and field (four years) and softball (four years) during her athletic career at St. Mary’s … All-Northwest Conference selection in basketball, softball and volleyball … named to the Storm lake All-Area softball and basketball team … holds her high school’s record for most career points scored … named to the All-State Academic basketball team … selected as an All-State honorable mention in softball … state qualifier in track and field … member of the St. Mary’s basketball team that was Northwest Conference Champions and District Champions … member of the St. Mary’s softball team that was District Champions … named to the All-District basketball and softball teams.
Personal: Daughter of Molly and Dan of Storm Lake, Iowa … enjoys playing sports, spending time with family and friends … reading, boating and being on the lake … member of the Blazer basketball team … majoring in political science with a minor in English.
Proudest moment of her softball career: “Learning to become a better player over the years and helping my teams become more successful.”
What do you like about being a collegiate student-athlete? “I like the competitive atmosphere it creates and that I’m surrounded by other student-athletes who are trying to obtain the same goal as I am.”
