1991 Season Review

The Blazers softball team played in temperatures in the low 90's and under sunny skies in Florida in late March before returning to Minnesota.  In April, CSB competed in wind, rain, low temperatures and yes even snow.   Despite poor weather conditions the Blazers posted their third straight 20-win season and equaled their previous total wins with 23.  In the MIAC CSB was unable to play two games and finished 13-5 and in fourth place.  Midway through the season CSB won 12 straight games.  The highlight of the season was a double header sweep over defending MIAC champion Gustavus at home 4-2 and 3-1.

Fifth year head coach Denny Johnson will lose only one senior to graduation this year, and will return a core of talented players next spring.
