1988 Season Review

The College of Saint Benedict soccer team was young last fall.  Of the 17 athletes on the roster, eight were first-year students, seven were sophomores and two were juniors.  No seniors were on the squad.   Inexperience and a tough schedule led to a 4-13-1 overall record and a 2-8-1 record in the MIAC under the direction of second year head coach Steve Pratt.

Leading the Blazers last fall were honorable mention All-MIAC performers Sheri King, a junior fullback from Pelican Rapids, MN.; sophomore goal keeper Kathy Yarnott from Elk River, MN; and Nancy Weiman, a first year student fullback from Excelsior, MN.
