10/30/2007
Not since 2003 have the Blazers hosted a MIAC playoff game -- until today.
Be prepared to witness history in the making.
The Blazers flirted with perfection through the first 12 games of the season.
Only to see this special group of women finish 14-4.
Only to witness a group of women pull off the biggest upset in MIAC soccer this season– defeating Concordia-Moorhead on Saturday and handing them their only MIAC loss.
A group of women that finished only one point behind MIAC Champion Concordia-Moorhead in the standings.
Only to watch goalkeeper Shannon Strohm and the Blazers tenacious defense shutout their opponent in eight straight games -- nine out of ten.
Only to witness Kate McNeil win game number 50 as a collegiate head coach -- with the victory over heated rival St. Thomas University.
Only to come to the understanding that the Blazers have 11 juniors -- and there lies the potential for 2008 to be equally as special.
But they want it NOW!
At 2:30 on Tuesday Oct. 30, the Blazers host Augsburg College at the College of Saint Benedict.
Tickets are $7 for adults and $3 dollars for students. The first 200 SJU/CSB students with a valid ID get in free.
The Blazers want you there!
