#13 Jackie Hoeft

Senior ... 5-5 ... Forward ... Maplewood, Minn. ... North St. Paul H.S. 

2007-08: Strong skater on the ice ... a very solid, smart player ... she leads the team on and off the ice … has improved her offensive game every season while playing for the Blazers.

2006-07: Played in all 24 games for the Blazers … scored one goal and had two assists for a total of three point.

2005-06: Played in all 23 games for Saint Benedict … collected five goals and four assists for a total of nine points during the season … scored two goals in the 10-1 victory over Concordia-Moorhead (Nov. 20, 2005) … had a goal in the 3-2 overtime loss against Saint Mary’s (Dec. 10, 2005) … tallied her final goal of the year in the 5-4 overtime victory over St. Catherine (Feb. 18, 2006).  

2004-05: Had four points total for the season, with two goals and two assists … one of her goals was a game-winning goal coming on Jan. 9 against Robert Morris, which broke a 1-1 tie in the second period.

High School: A 2004 graduate of North St. Paul High School, Hoeft was coached by Brad Marshall … participated in ice hockey and soccer for four years each during her athletic career at North St. Paul … named Academic All-State in hockey … member of the back-to-back Section 3AA champion and 2004 State Tournament runner-up North St. Paul hockey team.

Personal: Daughter of Marlene and Randy Hoeft of Maplewood, Minn. … enjoys playing sports, hockey, working out, rollerblading, volunteering at a variety of organizations, spending time with friends and soccer … serves as a recorder for Saint Benedict’s S.A.A.C. … volunteers at the Boys and Girls Club … majoring in biochemistry and peace studies.

Proudest moment in her ice hockey career: “Surpassing my individual goals every season I have played on an organized team.”

What do you like about being a collegiate student-athlete? “I love being involved with a program that values athletics, but puts academics first.”
