Nov. 25, 2003 - In a non - conference game against Saint Cloud State, the Blazers (4-2-1) beat the Huskies (7-2-0) 7-1. Junior Susan Engel scored her second hat trick two consecutive games!
In the first period sophomore Lisa Bush scored the first goal of the game for CSB. Bush was assisted by junior Katie Ponsolle.
There were five goals scored in the second period. Engel scored her first goal of the game 5:19 into the second period. Engel was assisted by first year player Kristi Fairchild. Engel went on to make two consecutive assists with in a minute. First year forward Erin Baldwin scored Saint Ben's third goal of the game. Close behind senior Sarah Ladd contributed a fourth goal to the Blazers. Baldwin assisted Engel in putting her second puck in the net. SCS's Jenny Wendlund ended the period scoring for the Huskies.
In the third period Bush assisted Ladd in earning the Blazers sixth goal. Engel ended the game earning a hat trick and contributing the seventh goal for CSB.
The Blazers next game will be at St. Olaf on Sat. Dec. 6, 2003.
