2003-2004 Season Review

The Blazer hockey team has been adjusting to changes in the past two seasons.  Last year, CSB moved to the Municipal Athletic Complex, in St. Cloud, which is one of Central Minnesota’s finest rinks.  Saint Ben’s made another change by hiring a new head coach Dave Laliberte fro the 2003-2004 season. 

During this transition period the Blazers still managed to do well and improve on the record that they posted in 2002-2003 season.  The Blazers ended their season with an eighth place finish in the MIAC, with a record of 4-12-2 and an overall mark of 6-14-2.

Junior Susan Engel led the team in scoring with 17 goals and nine assists.  She also managed to lead the team in total points with 26, earning All-MIAC Honors.  Also helping out with the scoring was junior Katie Ponsolle and first-year teammate Erin Baldwin who had 12 and 10 points, respectively.
