2004-05 Review:

The Blazer Golf team competes both in the fall and the spring seasons. This past fall the team wasted little time in developing thier game and earning both individual and team success early in the season. In their first meet of the year the Blazer golf team placed seventh at the UW-Eau Claire meet where first-year golfer Heather Fuchs led all the Saint Ben's golfers by shooting a two-day total of 169, which placed her tenth overall in individual competition. The Concordia Invitational marked a record setting performance by junior captain Kaley Kosak who shot rounds of 76 and 77, which broke her own College of Saint Benedict school record. This performance and consistent play throughout the beginning of the season earned Kosak MIAC golfer of the week honors.

The Blazers kept their successful play going into the mid-season competition. With a third place finish at the University of Saint Thomas Mid-West Classic and a first place finish at their own Blazer invite Saint Ben's looked poised to finish the remainder of their season strong. Junior captain Megan Sand placed second individually at the Blazer Invite.

Blazer golf finished third at the MIAC championships where Kosak finished third overall in individual competition. Sand and Fuchs finished in a three-way tie for ninth place. The team placed sixth at the Minnesota Collegiate State Meet and fourth at the Carleton Invitational in spring competition.
