The College of Saint Benedict women’s golf team finished strong at the Eau Claire Fall Invite, by shooting a team total of 355 the second round giving them a two day total of 710. That score of 710 brought the Blazers to a 10thplace finish overall out of 18 teams, with Carelton College inching their way past CSB by just one stroke to take away a ninth place finish.
Junior Ann Dressen (Alexandria, Minn/Jefferson) shined by shooting an 82. A two day total of 171 placed her tied for 22nd place in the individual results. Fellow Junior Leigh Bartholomew (Lake Elmo, Minn/Still Water Area) shot a 90 giving her a two day total of 177, placing 40th overall. First-year, Sarah Hupperts (North Oaks, Minn/Mounds View) finished with a two day total of 178, placing 42nd. Junior, C.J. Swanlund (Bloomington, Minn/ Jefferson) finished with a two day score of 184 and Sophomore April Dammann (Glencoe, Minn/Glencoe-Silver Lake) rounded out the Blazer team with a score of 186 respectively.
“We finished strong and did very well” commented Coach Pat Michaud.
The Blazers continue on Friday September 7th while at the Copper Open in Detroit Lakes, MN.
