New Faces Help Carry Blazers to Fifth Place

Despite windy conditions, the College of Saint Benedict women’s golf team pulled out a fifth place finish at the Cobber Open on Friday.  With the help of a couple new and returning faces, the Blazers finished with a team score of 358.

Junior Leigh Bartholomew (Lake Elmo, MN/Stillwater Area) led the team with a score of 83 and tied for sixth place overall. Fellow teammate Ann Dressen (Alexandria, MN/Jefferson) tied for fourteenth place overall with a score of 87. First year Nadia Christensen (Tyler, MN/Marshall) completed her first tournament third best for the Blazer team with a score of 93, while teammate, first year Sarah Hupperts (North Oaks, MN/Mounds View) shot a 95. Junior Chelsea Pettit rounded out the team with a score of 95.

The Blazers continue action Saturday September 8th at the Concordia Invite
