Branigan Shines on Track, Blazers take Fifth

05/10/2008 - The College of Saint Benedict women’s track team finished the MIAC outdoor track and field championships in fifth place with a team total of 75.5 points. Sophomore Margot Branigan (Roseville, Minn./Roseville) shined on the track and took first place in the 5,000 meter run, as well as the 10,000 meter run. Branigan finished the 5,000 meter in 17:56.21, which also qualified as a MIAC season best time, and finished the 10,000 meter in 37:20.01 which also beat a school record. Full Text…

Track Fifth after Day One of MIAC Championships, Breaks Two School Records

05/09/2008 - The Blazer track and field team finished day one of the MIAC outdoor track and field championships in fifth place, while breaking two school records. Sophomore Margot Branigan took first place in her heat in the 10,000 meter, while breaking a school record by finishing with a time of 37:20.01. Branigan also set a NCAA provisional and also her time was considered a MIAC season best. The Blazer 4x800 relay also broke the school record by finishing with a time 9:28.92, taking a third place finish in the heat.
