Schleper was coached by Jeff Downing … participated in basketball (three years), volleyball (one year), soccer (two years) and track and field (three years) during her athletic career at Zimmerman High School … two-time basketball team MVP … two-time All-Rum River Conference selection in basketball … became Zimmerman’s first girls’ basketball player to score 1,000 career points … also named as an All-Rum River Conference track and field athlete … Member of the inaugural girls’ basketball team at Zimmerman High School.
Personal: Daughter of Marilyn and Donald Schleper of Zimmerman, Minn. … enjoys playing sports, spending time with family and friends, going to the beach and being outside … has six family members that have or are currently attending CSB/SJU … cousin Tina Kampa played basketball at Saint Benedict … majoring in Biology with a minor in pre-physical therapy.
Proudest moment in her basketball career: “My proudest moments in basketball include scoring my 1,000th point in front on my family and friends as well as being on a team that went from 0-26 to 18-8 in the span of three seasons.”
What do you like about being a collegiate student-athlete? “I love the opportunity to further my basketball career while getting a great education at CSB.”
