High School: A 2007 graduate of Pine Island High School, Canton was coached by Rick Canton … participated in volleyball (four years) and basketball (four years) during her athletic career at Pine Island … two-time All-Hiawatha Valley League Conference selection in basketball … Associated Press All-State honorable mention her junior year … Coaches Association All-State honorable mention her senior year … 1,000 point scorer for Pine Island … all-time leading scorer at Pine Island … owns the single season records at Pine Island for most three-point field goals made (72) and free throw percentage (79 percent) during her senior season … member of the Pine Island girls basketball team that was Hiawatha Valley League Blue Division Conference Champions her sophomore and senior year … named to the All-Hiawatha Valley league Conference volleyball team in 2006.

Personal: daughter of Linda and Rick Canton of Pine Island, Minn. … enjoys the outdoors, swimming, reading, listening to music, boating and spending time with family and friends … majoring English with a minor in political science.

Clubs/Organizations/Service: Involved in student council, environmental club and National Honor Society.

Proudest moment in her basketball career: “Being a member of two Hiawatha Valley League Blue Division Conference championship teams and setting a positive example for the younger players in our program.”

What do like about being a collegiate student-athlete? “I love the challenges of being on one of the top teams in the MIAC and in Division III while getting a college education.”
