Feb. 12, 2005 - Junior Anna Heikenen (Edina/Edina) scored a game-high 35 points and pulled down
13 rebounds to lead Saint Ben's (17-4, 14-4 MIAC) to a 79-64 victory against Hamline (7-15, 4-14 MIAC) this afternoon.
The Pipers got off to a fast start and pulled ahead of the Blazers by as many as ten points in the first half. Hamline shot 48 percent from the field in the first half and held Saint Ben's to 38 percent shooting. The Blazers gained their first lead at 33-32 in the final two minutes of the first half, but the Pipers went into halftime with a 36-34 lead.

ers came into the second half on fire and used a 19-2 run to grab a double digit lead. The Pipers got within eight points on a few occassions in the final ten minutes, but CSB held on for the win. Sophomore Darby Noreen (Avon/Albany) added 13 points. Junior Carolyn Korchik paced the Pipers with 23 points.
The Blazers shot 48 percent from the field, while holding the Pipers to 26 percent. Saint Ben's had a 45-37 rebound advantage for the game.
The Blazers are next in action on Wednesday at Augsburg. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
