1991-1992 Season Review

"Too Legit to Quit..." this is a line taken from MC Hammer's popular song was coined as the team's theme after a disappointing loss to St. Olaf.  Head coach Durbin told his team that they had come to far to give up.  The Blazers (22-6 overall, 17-3 MIAC) finished second in the MIAC, and then hosted their first ever NCAA West Region game, in which they beat Concordia-Moorhead 86-76.  CSB then advanced to the "Sweet 16" round in Waverly, Iowa.   Although they lost to Wartburg College in the sectional tournament, the Blazers, in the end, surprised a few and impressed many.

CSB was the fourth best free throw shooting team (.727) in the nation as well as 13th in team offense averaging 79.1 points per game.  Junior Kelly Mahlum, Sacred Heart, MN, had the ninth best free throw shooting percentage across the nation .792.
