Arriving at CSB for your first year!

Move-In Information

The residence halls at CSB officially open on Sunday, August 23rd. When you arrive at the campus, you will be greeted by student orientation leaders and security staff. They will assist you in getting to the unloading area for your residence hall. You will be asked to unload your belongings and then move your vehicle to a parking lot so that others are able to move in.

There will be two phases for move in on Sunday, August 23rd.  You will move in either between 8:00 a.m.  to 10:00 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Your move in time is determined by the floor and residence hall in which you live.

8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Move In—Aurora A, C & E, Corona K & M, Regina J

11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Move In—Aurora B, D, & F, Corona L, Regina H & G.

Once inside please come to Mary Commons to check in.  The Residential Life Staff will greet you and assist you with the check-in process! You will receive your room key and ID card (if you have submitted your photo). You will complete a Room Condition Report (RCR) which documents the condition of your room so you are not billed incorrectly for room damages at the end of the year. You will also complete a medical information/emergency contact card and a few other forms.

As you move into your room, meet your roommate, and get settled, there are some other things you will also want to do including:

  • Buying books at CSB bookstore (if not ordered on-line)
  • Buying books at SJU bookstore (if not ordered on-line)
  • Purchasing parking permit for vehicle (if you will have a car on-campus)
  • Get Saints ID card (if this was not done prior to check-in)

Parents are encouraged to attend the Parent Orientation sessions offered that day.  All new students and their families are also invited to attend the Welcome/Family Liturgy in the Sacred Heart Chapel in the late afternoon that day. Following the liturgy, you and the other new students will begin your fall orientation program and parents/families will depart the campus. Please refer to www.csbsju.edu/orientation to learn more about these and other orientation events.
