Any suggestions for seasoning when grilling salmon? How do I know when the salmon is fully cooked?
Salmon is a very strong flavored fish so you are going to need something that will stand up to the flavor of the fish itself. My favorites are lemon pepper, and old bay seasoning. Salmon also takes to marinades very well - teriyaki and even bbq sauce will go with it without masking the taste too much. Another great way to make salmon is to season with salt and pepper and grill for 6 to 8 minutes on the first side turn over and cook for about 3 minutes more(salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork) remove from heat and place on a plate or serving platter and top with a mixture of softened butter and freshly chopped dill.
Thanks for the question and good luck! Chef Paul
