Chris Brake

The newest addition to the CSB facilities management division is grounds supervisor Chris Brake.  Chris holds a degree in horticulture from Central Missouri State University at Warrensburg.  His education, experience, and a passion for public gardening will make him an asset to College.

As grounds supervisor, Chris oversees the College’s lawns, plants, landscapes, sidewalks, turf, and parking lots.  He maintains and improves the campus’s vibrant environment, keeping it beautiful and functional for the entire community.

As a parks technician for the City of Brookings, South Dakota, Chris was responsible for the care and maintenance of the grounds on a wide variety of public properties.  Previous employment at nurseries and gardens across the Midwest has provided extensive experience in plant care, garden maintenance, turf care, and safety management.
